Sea Sessions, Ireland’s biggest beach party is returning for its ninth year this summer from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 June. More than just a music festival, check out just ten of the reasons why Sea Sessions is Ireland’s most unique festival.

* Its Ireland’s only Surf Music Festival, if you want to know what the world would look like if surfers took over it’s a must.

*It’s in the middle of a town, you can choose from an array of bars restaurants and nightclubs and not be stuck in a field for the whole weekend.

*The scenic location; no other festival in Ireland can boast the view from the main stage where artists get to watch the sun set into the Atlantic while they play to you

*It’s truly boutique; it’s a word that is over used but with just 5,000 capacity Sea Sessions is compact and cosy and you will bump into the same people over the weekend and never lose your mates (unless you want to).

*It’s unpretentious; if you’re looking for fairy lights in trees look elsewhere, this is one big unashamed beach party

*The stuff to do; you can play golf, go horse riding, watch surf movies in the cinema,  hit one of 15 different pubs, take a surf lesson, go Stand Up Paddling, kayak, swim, hit the go kart track or go abseiling.

*There’s even more stuff to do… The annual Barefoot Beach Olympics at Sea Sessions see festival goers play tag rugby, barefoot soccer, beach volleyball and win stuff from drinks to festival tickets.

*Accommodation options; Sea Sessions is the only festival to be blessed with multiple accommodation options, from surf hostels, to the main campsite, the fancy posh campsite, apartments, hotels from three star to four star, B&B’s and guest houses.

*The people; it’s Donegal. Should be enough said, but just in case it isn’t, the locals are sound, they love the festival and get into the spirit of things, they welcome festival goers with open arms and they don’t rip them off.

*You guys; one of the most important ingredients in the little mix that is Sea Sessions is the very cool festival fans that come along to enjoy the beach vibe and party!!
