Dizzee Rascal First Headliner announced for Sea Sessions 2018

The Sea Sessions crew kick off celebrations for their 10th Birthday with an absolute stormer of a headliner. Dizzee Rascal is first up on the announcement stakes for the award winning festival.
Known in some circles as the Godfather of Grime, Dizzee Rascal is also a prolific hitmaker with 5 UK Number ones under his belt since his critically acclaimed “Boy in da Corner” earned him a Mercury Prize. His sixth studio album “Raskit” is out now and sees him re-visit his grime roots.
Along with that huge announcement a
strictly limited number of early bird tickets will go on sale from Friday 17 November at 9am. Tickets are available from all Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, www.ticketmaster.ie and www.seasessions.com. Priced from €99.90 for 3 days and €124.90 including 4 nights camping. There’s also limited day tickets available from €49.50 and Surfers Bar (VIP) upgrades from €50 extra.
The Festival was born in 2008 so this year sees the organisers celebrate their 10th birthday. “Its going to be a special year. We’ve been working hard on a cracker of a line up and we most definitely have some nice surprises.We’ve been chasing Dizzee Rascal for a while now so to land him on our 10th Birthday is a real thrill. We’ve plenty more acts to announce and as always we’re going to throw one hell of a party in what we like to call “Fundoran” says Ray O Donoghue, Festival Director.
Indeed the festival has gone from strength to strength picking up the prestigious IMRO award for “Music Festival of the Year” back in February beating off the likes of Electric Picnic, Longitude and The Cork Jazz Festival to name a few. Quite an achievement considering it started as a party on the beach for a bunch of Surfers.
The Festival is situated right on the beach in Bundoran Donegal, the coolest place on the planet according to National Geographic. Over the years such luminaries as Tinie Tempah, Paul Wellar, Bastille, Seasick Steve and loads more have graced their unique stages. Alongside music there’s Irelands biggest Surf Event, Performance Skating, BMXing, Beach Sports and much more packed into 3 to 4 days of partying by the beach.
