Third Annual Pumpkin Carving Competition
The third annual pumpkin carving competition and pumpkin parade will take place on Thursday October 29th at the Atlantic Apartotel on Main Street followed by the parade to Bundoran Community Library.
Established in 2013, the event has become firmly established for the October mid term break and is enjoyed by children and adults alike.
Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth said “what began on a trial run 2 years ago has turned into a massive success for us year on year with lots of enquiries in subsequent years to know when we are holding the next one.”
Participating families and groups are asked to register at the Atlantic Apartotel from 3.30pm on Thursday October 29th. The pumpkin carving then begins at 4pm and runs through until 7pm. There is no limit to the pumpkin designs except for your creativity with prizes for the top pumpkins on the day.
The afternoon will round off (weather permitting) with the annual pumpkin parade down Main Street as far as Bundoran Community Library where the prize giving will take place.
This is an event that is suitable for all the family with pumpkins, cutters and utensils provided on the day with a minimal entry charge.
