Cara Challenge Traffic Info
As a result of the Cara Bundoran Challenge which happens this weekend, there will be a number of traffic diversions:
Friday March 8th – 5km fun run:
Runners will start from outside Waterworld on Atlantic Way at 7:30pm. The route will go from there, along Sea Road, Tullan Strand, Roguey Walk, Sea Front, Promenade, Church Road and finish at Magh Ene College.
Saturday March 9th
There will be a temporary road closure on Main Street Bundoran from approximately 10:55am until 11:15am to facilitate the start of the race. The closure will be from the junction of Main Street/Church Road as far as Tullaghan Roundabout. Gardai will be operating a diversion.
A further temporary closure will happen outside the Central Hotel on Main Street at approximately 11:25am to facilitate the start of the 10k run. Again Gardai will be on point duty and their directions should be followed.
Runners are expected to be on the Bundoran Bypass (northbound) from approximately 11:30am-12:30pm – motorists coming from the Sligo direction towards Donegal are asked to exercise extreme caution at these times and to offer as much support to the participants as they can!
