Bundoran set to become Enterprise Town

With the sponsorship of Bank of Ireland, Bundoran will become an Enterprise Town on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of November at Magh Ene College.

The idea is that all businesses and community groups in the seaside town will come together to showcase what it is they do and the product, service or community project that they provide.

The event is sponsored by Bank of Ireland here in Bundoran and is being spearheaded by a small committee.  The event is a fantastic (and free) opportunity to showcase businesses or community group to the people of Bundoran over the two days.  It will also provide a great networking opportunity to meet with other businesses and community groups in town that you may be unaware of.  Promotion of Bundoran begins in Bundoran and the more we know about what’s happening in our own town the greater ambassadors that we can be.

There will be a number of guest speakers across the weekend as well as a fun sport/music/entertainment showcase element on the Saturday morning. Mickey Harte, former Tyrone manager will be speaking on the Friday evening and will be well worth seeing.

As Ireland’s Enterprise Bank Bank of Ireland began the Enterprise Town initiative in late 2013, launching in Kells, Co. Meath. By the end of 2015, they will have supported local communities in delivering over 50 more across Ireland.

The Enterprise Town initiative seeks to work with local businesses to plan and deliver a range of activities that will support and generate business in the area. The initiative also involves the wider community and the schools to ensure everyone can get involved and be part of the positive experience that is an Enterprise Town.

Bank of Ireland wants to support the development of smaller communities at both business level and in the wider context, incorporating schools, sports, social and charitable associations. The Enterprise Town initiative has been developed to allow this to happen and, to date, has worked very well in delivering excellent, community led results across the country.

Any business, service, community group can take part free of charge.  The registration form may be downloaded here
