Event director Cormac McGurren is encouraging all participants to get building ‘now is the time to get your team and your soapbox together – it’s a great team exercise and good opportunity for some friends or colleagues to get together to build and race a soapbox on the day. The event will raise much needed funds for our volunteer crew assisting with their ongoing training, the upkeep of the boathouse and most importantly the upkeep of the lifeboat.’

DJ on the day will be iRadio’s Dave Duke who has volunteered his services for every single soapbox race since the event began back in 2012. Admission is free and it’s a great family friendly event.  Balls for the ball race will be on sale on the day.

Participants are encouraged to register their soapboxes at www.bundoranlifeboatsoapboxrace.com where updates on arrangements for the day will also be posted.
