Bundoran 10 event returns in March 2023
The much anticipated Bundoran 10 event will return to the seaside town over two days in 2023 – March 3rd and 4th. Following the success of this year’s inaugural event, it was decided to include a 5km event on the Friday evening, ahead of the main walk and flagship run on Saturday morning.
The new 5km event will see participants start on Atlantic Way, circle the promenade and then route via Sea Road to Tullan Strand Road and the Rougey Walk before finishing at Main Beach.
The 10 mile run will take the usual route from outside the Allingham Arms, through West End, Magheracar, Tullaghan and back to Bundoran via the bypass, Tullan Strand Road and the Rougey Walk with the finish as usual at Main Beach.
Event organiser, Canice Nicholas says that entries are already flying in ‘we put the event live on our social media channels at the start of November and places are already filling up fast. The 5km event on the Friday will be especially popular with younger children and those of school going age while many of the athletes that will compete on Saturday will no doubt use it as a warm up. It’s a great excuse to start the training now and hit the ground running in the new year so we hope to see plenty of people taking part.’
Entry is once again online only and available now via www.bundoran10.com where participants can register their place and have the option to purchase a commemorative t-shirt. Proceeds from the 2023 event will go to local charity and community beneficiaries which will be announced at a later date.
