2023 Allingham Festival to Feature bestselling author, Liz Nugent
The first confirmed event for the Allingham Festival, 2023, is an appearance by the internationally bestselling author, Liz Nugent.
Liz is a writer of award-winning psychological suspense novels Unravelling Oliver (2014), Lying in Wait (2016), Skin Deep (2018), [Our] Little Cruelties (2020) and Strange Sally Diamond (2023). All five books topped the Irish bestsellers list and Liz has won multiple literary awards. Some of her books have also been optioned for screen adaptations.
Liz’s books have been translated into 18 languages and she has also written extensively for radio and television in drama and animation.
In Oct 2017, Liz won the Irish Woman of the Year Award for Literature and in February 2021, she was awarded the James Joyce medal by the Literary & Historical Society of UCD.
She will be interviewed at the Allingham Festival by Sinéad Crowley, Arts and Media Correspondent with RTE News. Sinéad is also the author of The Belladonna Maze, One Bad Turn and other novels.
The 2023 Allingham Festival takes place from November 8th-12th in Ballyshannon. Many more events will be announced in the weeks and months to come.
